For the more rugged camper, we offer the comfort of a tent pad or a Kamping Kabin all nestled in the forest. Also available are our new kamping lodges for those who want to try camping but don't really want to rough it! Wet a line in our stocked fishing pond or cruise around in one of our paddleboats. There is a lot to do at our centrally located KOA. Take a tour, visit the area and come back home each night to experience some true southern hospitality.

We now have KOA’s Kamping Lodges.





Each cozy lodge has beds for up to 6 persons, which includes a bedroom with a Queen bed, bunk room, and futon in the main living area. They have a full bathroom, efficiency kitchen with microwave, small refrigerator, coffeemaker, and dishes for 6. Also for your enjoyment, they include a flat screen TV with cable, Wireless Internet, heat and air conditioning. Bring your own linens or rent ours for an additional fee. Relax outside on your private deck, or sit by your campfire and roast marshmallows. For cooking outside, you’ll find a gas grill and picnic table. No pets are permitted in lodges All lodges are no smoking. Reservations are always recommended.

Kamping Kabins

Cozy log structures equipped with electric light , lockable doors,ceiling fan, air conditioning, beds complete with mattresses, and cable for your tv. Bring your own linens or sleeping bags, there is a full size bed and a set of bunks. Kamping Kabins sleep up to four people in one-room. You cook outside with a table and grill provided. Pets are allowed in designated pet kabins for a fee of $5 per pet, per day. A great way to try camping!



Historic Fredericksburg

Visit this city's 40 block Historic District. From the visitor center, Trolly tours, and carriage tours are available to explore George Washingtons boyhood home. Stroll through the preserved homes and gardens of General Washington's mother and sister. Follow in the footsteps of many famous Americans, such as James Monroe, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Clara Barton





 
 
Civil War Battlefields

Spend your vacation in the heart of Civil War country. You can almost smell the gun powder from the cannon fire. Hear the tempo of the marching feet of the soldiers clad in Blue and Gray. The Fredericksburg area offers four major battlefields of the American  Civil War including Spotsylvania Court House, Chancellorsville, The Wilderness and The Battle of Fredericksburg.

Easy access to the Metro train system. This train will take you downtown where you can catch a guided tour, Trolley, or Tourmobile. Tourmobile provides transportation with narration for a tour you design yourself. Also available is the VRE train system out of Fredericksburg.
